Compensation: $9,000 to $10,500 / month

WSE’s award-winning, original programming is led by some of the most popular athletes and personalities in sports media -- including the hit digital series’ “New Heights with Jason and Travis Kelce,” “Podcast P with Paul George,” “7PM in Brooklyn with Carmelo Anthony and The Kid Mero” and “The Right Time with Bomani Jones” -- dishing out entertaining commentary, unique perspectives, expert analysis, and behind-the-scenes stories about the players and events that are shaping the world of sports. WSE also holds partnerships with 100+ rights holders and sports properties, providing always-on programming to followers of the internet's largest and most engaged social communities.

We are seeking a Senior Producer to lead the creation of podcasts and longform talk-centric shows across our network of brands, with a focus on women sports, current events and entertainment. The ideal candidate will have a track record of producing standout talk-show content, programming YouTube channels and podcast RSS feeds, and collaborating with marquee on-air talent. They’ll also have a strong understanding of social platforms and related audience preferences, a passion for trends across the entertainment and sports zeitgeist and strong knowledge of marquee women athletes and media personalities.

Responsibilities

• Lead the overall creative and content production of sports and entertainment talk shows
• Contribute to the ideation and development of new series
• Develop a unique tone of voice and editorial direction for digital series
• Produce and manage high-profile talent including professional athletes and established creators
• Oversee topic ideation, pre-show research, and create show rundowns
• Manage producers and video editors to meet deadlines and editorial standards of WSE
• Contribute to programming strategy and long term content planning for each series
• Mentor, support and create growth opportunities for your team of direct reports. Set a positive, collaborative, respectful work example for fellow team members
  
  

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years producing compelling podcasts or talk-centric digital content
• A highly creative storyteller. Ability to write, produce, manage, and execute projects from start to finish in a fast-paced newsroom environment
• Minimum 2 years experience managing and leading a team of direct reports
• Expert knowledge of YouTube best practices and podcast platforms
• Proactive, with the ability to anticipate obstacles and problem-solve under pressure
• Strong experience organizing production workflows and assets
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Strong understanding of digital media trends and how audiences consume content across platforms
• Highly skilled in managing multiple projects and priorities

• This role is a full-time temporary position with a monthly salary range of $9,000 to $10,500 / month. Actual salary at the time of offer may vary based on multiple factors, including an individual's level of experience and qualifications
  
  

Physical Requirements + Work Environment

• Capacity to operate a computer and other office productivity machinery and hardware
• The ability to communicate and exchange information clearly and accurately
• Work is sedentary and involves sitting for the majority of work hours
• Able to work full-time M-F and nights and weekends as needed
• The worker is not substantially exposed to adverse environmental conditions and work is performed in a business office environment
• The worker may be exposed to variable lighting conditions (brightness or darkness) and noise during production when in the office
