We are adding a new Senior Engineering Manager to our engineering team! You will oversee multiple engineering teams, guiding the development of cutting-edge products and services. You’ll work closely with product managers, designers, and other stakeholders to ensure alignment between business objectives and engineering execution. You’ll foster a culture of accountability, technical excellence, and teamwork while focusing on your team members' career development and growth.

While we are open to remote work across the contingent US, we are still establishing our company to support work in all states! We are set up to support employees who want to be fully remote, in-office only or a mix of the two.

What You'll Do:
Lead development and delivery of technical solutions
Maintain a deep understanding of engineering/product/business needs and priorities, and work with product management and other collaborators to ensure your team has a clear vision.
Balance priorities to ensure the team optimally completes long-term efforts while resolving defects, managing technical debt, and offering support to the engineering org
Lead projects and advocate for high-quality code.
Establish and track performance metrics, ensuring team accountability and continuous improvement.
Assist in recruiting and hiring processes.
Set and supervise performance goals for teams and individuals, providing feedback through reviews, one-on-ones, and day-to-day discussions.
Encourage innovation and best practices within engineering teams. Guide technical decisions, ensuring scalability, security, and maintainability in all aspects of the system.
What We're Looking For:
7+ years of experience in software engineering, with at least 3+ years in engineering management or leadership roles
Extensive experience scoping technical efforts, and delivering business solutions
Track record of working side-by-side with Product Management, Designers, and other cross-domain subject manager experts to define and realize a Product Vision
Proven track record of leading, mentoring, and developing engineering teams. Ability to handle complex technical challenges and drive successful outcomes.
Experience working in an Agile environment (ideally using Scrum methodologies) using rapid iteration techniques such as A/B testing and relevant BI tools (e.g. Optimizely, Looker, etc.)
Fluency with microservice architectures and AWS is a big plus
Experience developing & launching new Consumer Experiences
Experience within the Insurance or Financial industries
