The role
At SoFi, our People Business Partners are trusted advisors who help our employees and leaders thrive. In this role, you’ll lead the people strategy for our Technology team, working directly with SoFi’s Chief Technology Officer. You'll also manage a team of People Business Partners who support engineers, product managers, designers, data scientists, and IT professionals. Your work will empower the business to make smart, data-driven decisions while fostering an inclusive and equitable culture.
What you’ll do:
- Lead and Develop a Team: Manage and mentor People Business Partners, ensuring their growth, engagement, and success.
- Be a Strategic Partner: Work with Technology leaders to shape and implement people strategies that align with business goals, including performance management, compensation, benefits, and development programs.
- Implement Impactful People Solutions: Identify root causes, develop creative solutions, and implement strategies that address complex organizational challenges.
- Leverage Data: Use insights to guide decisions, uncover trends, and improve organizational health.
- Champion Culture and Inclusion: Champion SoFi’s values while driving initiatives that promote diversity, equity, and inclusion across the Technology team.
- Ensure Compliance and Support: Align employee and business needs while maintaining up-to-date knowledge of legal requirements to foster a fair, compliant, and supportive workplace.
What you’ll need:
- Strategic and Hands-On Expertise: Proven ability to balance big-picture thinking with hands-on execution, including progressive HR experience in dynamic environments.
- Leadership Support: experience managing people and coaching leaders at all levels, including Vice President and above level leaders, to drive accountability and alignment.
- Data-Driven Decision-Making: Proficiency in using data to uncover trends, guide decisions, and implement impactful changes.
- HR Knowledge and Expertise: Strong understanding of key HR domains such as compensation, performance management, employee engagement, employee relations, and diversity and inclusion.
- Relationship-Building Skills: Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills to build rapport, adapt to diverse audiences, and influence effectively across all levels of the organization.
- Commitment to Inclusion and Growth: Passion for fostering a diverse, equitable, and inclusive workplace while inspiring growth and excellence within teams.
