The Role

Simon is looking for a creative and motivated Business Development Representative (BDR) to join our go-to-market team. In this role, you’ll use a blend of research, wits, and acuity to help break into target accounts to help fill our sales pipeline with qualified leads.

The ideal candidate will help the marketing and sales team map out the key stakeholders and decision makers at prospect brands, and use the resources they have available to appeal to each one’s unique professional and/or personal motivations to secure a meeting. This is the perfect opportunity for someone with aspirations to get into enterprise SaaS sales to build experience and hone their skills in a fast-paced environment.

What You’ll Do.

  • Source new opportunities through a combination of phone, email, social selling, conferences, and events.

  • Research target accounts to map the marketing org and conduct personalized outreach.

  • Assist closing reps in planning and prepping Strategic Account conversations from initial contact through evaluation.

  • Conduct discovery and demo calls for select inbound opportunities and function in a closing capacity, including contract negotiation.

  • Connect with key partners to help co-sell into mutual prospects.

  • Work closely with the marketing team to execute demand generation initiatives.

  • Attend conferences to support AEs with connections into strategic accounts.

  • Collect and track market intelligence for the sales team, organizing and categorizing sales lead information.

  • Continually improve your sales skills and stay up-to-date with market developments and new services.

  • Exceed monthly and quarterly performance targets

Qualifications

  • At least a year of SaaS sales, preferably in MarTech sales.

  • Proven consistent success in an outbound lead generation or inside sales role.

  • Proficiency in Salesforce.com and strong skills with Outreach.io and LinkedIn Sales Navigator.

  • Experience with sourcing and speaking to senior level decision makers.

  • High EQ with a natural inclination to win.

  • Experience with account-based (ABM) strategies strongly preferred.

  • Strong technical aptitude with the ability to effectively utilize our sales acceleration applications.

  • You are highly motivated, tenacious and a self-starter.

  • Ability to collaborate effectively with a dynamic team both in the office and remote.

  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.

  • Ability to take both systematic and creative approaches to solve problems.

  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize while multitasking.

  • Ability to work through change and navigate ambiguity.

  • Interest in eventual promotion to Account Executive role (preferred)

In compliance with the state and city salary transparency requirements, the potential salary for this position is from $70,000 to $90,000 which represents a range commensurate with experience.
