• Lead and Inspire: Supervise a dedicated crew of production employees, guiding them through day-to-day activities to ensure the smooth production of our product line.
• Coordinate and Optimize: Direct and coordinate production line activities, ensuring efficiency and quality by working closely with production operators.
• Champion Safety: Provide direction, instruction, and leadership within our Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) program, aligning with CertainTeed's safety vision.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

• Active participation and support of plant safety and environmental
• Safe production meeting legal and environmental requirements.
• Demonstrate safety leadership for all safety and environmental issues/concerns for all Plant personnel.
• Set a high standard for safety and environmental for all departmental employees.
• Ensure compliance with Standard Work
• Problem solves through root cause analysis
• Confer with plant personnel to maintain production and quality control standards as well as budget and cost controls.
• Report at end of each shift on the types, quantities, specifications, and other key data on products produced during the shift.
• Consult with maintenance personnel relative to troubleshooting and maintenance of machines and equipment in order to achieve production and quality goals daily.
• Resolve employee concerns/complaints and refer unresolved issues for further investigation and resolution.
• Ensure performance evaluations and operator training development plans are completed for employees.
• Ensure new employees are properly on-boarded.
• Make certain employees maintain the necessary skills and knowledge to safely and competently perform their jobs.
• Verify that staged loads are correct and signed off.
• Process shipments for trucks when OA is out.

Requirements

What do you bring?

• High School Diploma/GED
• Three (3) years manufacturing experience working as a lead in a manufacturing facility.

• Experience with EHS responsibility-experience in implementing site safety programs, risk evaluations, employee training, & behavioral improvements.
