About the Team:
Quizlet’s Finance team is seeking a Business Operations Manager to partner with product and business teams, guiding business strategy and driving outcomes. This role is pivotal in understanding key growth levers and providing the broader Quizlet team with actionable, strategic insights. We are a lean team, collaborating closely with Quizlet leadership to tackle some of the company’s biggest challenges. As a finance team, we pride ourselves on being data-driven, always seeking to understand the “why” behind our work, and maintaining a long-term perspective.
About the Role:
We are looking for a dynamic individual who thrives in ambiguous environments and embraces unique challenges. This is our first full-time BizOps hire at Quizlet, and we’re excited to have this person build out our BizOps muscle as a company.
This is a highly visible role that will engage in all aspects of planning, strategic analysis and decision-making support. Your contributions will fundamentally impact the business processes, results, and overall efficiency of both finance and operations.
This role is based out of our New York and San Francisco office hub and requires 3 days per week onsite in either our New York or San Francisco office. You'll be required to be in the office on Monday, Wednesday, and Thursday, as needed by your manager or the company.
In this role, you will:
- Partner with product and business leaders to guide business strategy & outcomes - drive understanding of key growth levers, and provide the broader Quizlet team with actionable and strategic insights
- Structure and analyze a variety of questions through quantitative analysis, assessment of the competitive landscape, and user research to identify step-change opportunities for the business
- Roll up your sleeves - we are a fast-growing company and you will have the opportunity to help us move from strategy to execution, working cross-functionally with product, engineering, business development and marketing
- Cross-functional coordination to facilitate the internal business operations of the company, including strategic and business planning, quarterly OKR targets, leadership forums and performance metrics reviews
- Manage special projects including M&A target screening and due diligence
- Identify key success metrics, assess new market opportunities, refine and improv internal operations, and launch new go-to-market initiatives
What you bring to the table:
- 6-12 years of experience, with at least 3+ years in management consulting, strategy, product management, or analytics roles at a tech company; experience with Business Operations at a Technology company preferred
- Ability to manage a broad portfolio of responsibilities independently and solve problems quickly and effectively
- Strong analytical skills paired with excellent communication abilities to distill complex issues and detailed analysis into simple, structured frameworks with actionable insights
- Leadership: Proven ability to influence cross-functional teams without formal authority
- Excellent organizational, prioritization, and communication skills, with a high attention to detail. Comfort with ambiguity, uncertainty, and a rapidly evolving business landscape
- High-integrity individual passionate about building a great company for the long term and making a positive impact on education
- Bachelor’s degree with strong academic performance; M.B.A. or other relevant advanced degree preferred

Total compensation for this role is market competitive, including a starting base salary of $185,000 - $216,000, depending on location and experience, as well as company stock options
