We are seeking an experienced People Manager (2-3 month contract) to join our team while we search for a permanent hire. You’ll primarily assist us with talent acquisition efforts, benefits open enrollment, and other human resources related activities.

This role is a temporary contract opportunity that will be paid at an hourly rate of $60-$70 per hour depending on experience. This will require 30 to 40 hours per week. We are seeking candidates who can start immediately.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Talent Acquisition:
    • Proactively source candidates through LinkedIn Recruiter and other various channels (job boards, social media, referrals, etc.)
    • Review resumes, assess qualifications, and conduct initial phone or video screenings
    • Collaborate with hiring managers to understand role requirements and candidate fit
    • Ensure all job postings are setup correctly on BreezyHR and LinkedIn
    • Regularly update candidate profiles and maintain accurate records
    • Leverage ATS analytics to improve recruitment processes.
    • Schedule and coordinate interviews, managing calendars for hiring teams and candidates
    • Provide timely feedback and status updates with candidates, ensuring a great candidate experience
    • Foster positive relationships with candidates, ensuring a professional and overall positive experience
    • Handle communications (acknowledgement emails, rejection notices, etc.) professionally
  • Benefits open enrollment
    • Partner with the benefits broker (GBS)
    • Oversee the annual open enrollment process in November, including scheduling, communication, and enrollment.
    • Utilize Rippling HRIS to facilitate the enrollment process and track employee selections.
    • Provide guidance and support to employees during open enrollment, addressing questions and concerns.
    • Ensure timely and accurate enrollment data entry into Rippling.
  • Employee Relations:
    • Investigate and resolve employee concerns and complaints including sensitive harassment and discrimination claims
    • Advise Management on employee relations issues
    • Confidently facilitate employee terminations and other sensitive employee changes
    • Foster a positive and inclusive work environment
    • Identify and address potential cultural barriers or challenges.
  • HRIS System Management:
    • Oversee the maintenance of the HRIS system (Rippling)
    • Ensure data accuracy and integrity within the system.
  • Employment Law Compliance/Multi-State Complexity:
    • Manage workers' compensation claims and immigration cases in partnership with legal counsel.
    • Ensure compliance with HR regulations across multiple jurisdictions.
    • Oversee LOA processes and policy enforcement.
    • Maintain HRIS system within Papaya Global's platform.
    • Maintain accurate HR records and documentation.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources Management, Business Administration, or a related field
  • 8+ years of progressive HR experience
  • Strong knowledge of employment laws and regulations
  • Experience with HRIS systems (Rippling experience strongly preferred)
  • Experience with BreezyHR for recruiting is preferred
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to learn quickly and make an immediate contribution
