This is a US REMOTE role

Building off our Cloud momentum, Oracle has formed a new organization - Oracle Health Applications & Infrastructure. This team will focus on product development and product strategy for Oracle Health, while building out a complete platform supporting modernized, automated healthcare. This is a net new line of business, constructed with an entrepreneurial spirit that promotes an energetic and creative environment. We are unencumbered and will need your contribution to make it a world class engineering center with the focus on excellence.

The Oracle Health Core Platform Operations teams manage and maintain the day-to-day operations, stability and availability of the products that fall under the product groups umbrella. Working closely on a regular basis with engineering, operations, and consulting teams our goal is to, with our global team of over 160, provide a world class experience to our customers around the globe and help drive the effort in the future state of our products as we begin to migrate them over to OCI platforms.

Working with this very inclusive and close-knit team, you can expect to see multiple members facilitating knowledge transfers, sharing the latest features or enhancements of our product line and help to support one another, to mention a few attributes.

The Manager for the Disaster Recovery & Downtime Product Operations team will be responsible for managing a team of highly technical System Engineers, Architects and Site Reliability Engineers that deploy, manage, and maintain our customer fleet that have purchased any of our downtime products. The ideal candidate will possess a solid technical background and be capable of leading a growing the team. All operations teams that fall under the Core Platforms very much adhere to the DevOps culture and have close ties with their respective Engineering & Development counterparts and meet regularly to discuss product road mapping, planning and deployment strategies. With the focus on migrating customers from our legacy hosted environments to OCI, there is a hyper focus on defining what our DR offerings and policies should look like as customers move to OCI.

You will be responsible and accountable for weekly sprint planning (JIRA), DR Test Activation Planning (each customer is scheduled for one annual activation / parallel test) and capturing event artifacts for documentation working in collaboration with our Business Continuity Disaster Recovery (BCDR) teams to perform annual exercises and tabletops, Managing Service Request queues (Remedy) and adhering to organizationally adopted Service Level Objectives (SLO) and establish regular team goals that align with Oracle Health Organizational goals for the DR & Downtime product catalogue.

Responsibilities

• Background in Disaster Recovery (DR) or Business Continuity Disaster Recovery (BCDR) strategies and concepts with relevant work experience.
• Be able to lead a team of System & Site Reliability Engineers supporting the performance, security, and overall domain operation of hosted software as a service (SaaS) technology platforms.
• Lead and direct the team’s strategy to achieve operational or functional targets, SLAs, and objectives with measurable contribution towards the achievement of immediate and short-term results for the team and OHAI organization.
• Establish and communicate organization and team goals that support and advance team and organization objectives; establish metrics or other performance measures to track progress, accomplishments, and opportunities.
• Understand and explain policies, best practices, and organizational procedures within immediate area of responsibility to key stakeholders within and outside of the team.
• Identify, propose, and lead process improvement initiatives; participate and provide input on strategic initiatives at the organization and team level.
• Deliver consistent and timely training, guidance, and feedback to encourage and promote employee success and growth through regular developmental conversations and identification of developmental opportunities.
• Technical background with Linux / UNIX operating systems.
• Experience with legacy Cerner Disaster Recovery and 724 Downtime Viewer products is a plus.

US: Hiring Range in USD from: $91,700 to $199,500 per annum. May be eligible for bonus and equity.

Oracle maintains broad salary ranges for its roles in order to account for variations in knowledge, skills, experience, market conditions and locations, as well as reflect Oracle’s differing products, industries and lines of business.
Candidates are typically placed into the range based on the preceding factors as well as internal peer equity.

Vacation accrual is prorated for employees working between 20 and 34 hours per week. Employees working fewer than 20 hours per week are not eligible for vacation.
