Netflix is one of the world’s leading entertainment services with 283 million paid memberships in over 190 countries enjoying TV series, films and games across a wide variety of genres and languages. Members can play, pause and resume watching as much as they want, anytime, anywhere, and can change their plans at any time.

The Role

We are seeking a highly ambitious, visionary, and systems-minded Staff Product Designer to join our world-class Ads Experience Design Team. In this role, you will partner with the Ads Platform Product Architect to envision the end-to-end advertising ecosystem for Netflix. Your deep expertise in the advertising domain will make you a strategic partner to our product, engineering, business, and sales teams, driving the execution of Netflix’s ads strategy.

You will lead as a domain expert within our product design team, delivering a delightful, engaging, and relevant ads experience for Netflix members. This hybrid-friendly role offers flexibility, with weekly onsite presence required to collaborate with stakeholders in Los Angeles and Los Gatos, CA - with quarterly travel to New York, NY. Candidates located in California or the Pacific time zone are preferred, but exceptions can be made for the right candidate.

The Team

We recently launched a new ad-supported tier to offer our members more choice in how they consume their content. Our new tier allows us to attract new members at a lower price point, while also creating a compelling path for advertisers to reach audiences that are deeply immersed.

Our Ads Platform XD team designs technology, workflows, and capabilities that power Netflix’s advertising business. We also design the foundational capabilities and technology for the next-generation of Netflix experiences, like Live entertainment.

We design the advertising systems and integrations that power the delivery of ads using our world class content delivery ecosystem. We deliver ads in a manner that’s thoughtful of our members’ viewing experience and drives great outcomes for advertisers.

Our team is growing quickly, and yet faced with the ambitions of building highly performant advertising systems and delivering high impact to our business by monetizing our incredible slate of content. As one of the newest entrants in the Connected TV advertising space that’s rapidly growing, we seek to build unique value propositions that differentiate Netflix from other ad-supported streaming services.

Our team’s primary superpower is the ability to design creatively and collaboratively in highly technical environments – from core services that power Netflix’s streaming technology to industry-leading partnership platforms.

You’ll be the most senior design domain expert who architects the ecosystem for these experiences and partnerships. More specifically, you’ll be a critical part of one of the most talented and trailblazing design teams in the world.

Why You’ll Love Our Team

  • Work with stunning, supportive designers on problems that matter.

  • Top of market compensation and benefits, flexible time off, and work-life-balance.

  • Meaningful financial support for further education and professional growth.

  • An inclusive environment to help you do your best work and feel genuinely supported.

What You Will Do

  • Partner with the Product Architect to envision the future of Netflix’s advertising business.

  • 6+ years developing advertising domain expertise across platform and consumer-facing roles.

  • Deep product understanding of advertising ecosystems in the CTV environment.

  • Fluent with advertising nomenclature, operations, and Live streaming technology.

  • Proven executive influence in shaping business strategy at the Director and VP levels.
