As an Associate Product Owner, you will spend your day collaborating with cross-functional teams, stakeholders, and Agile Release Train resources to prioritize and deliver impactful product solutions aligned with the company’s strategic vision. You will refine backlogs, define features, and ensure clear communication of business needs, driving iterative value for customers. Your role directly impacts the organization by enabling the delivery of high-quality products that meet business goals, enhance customer satisfaction, and support overall organizational success.
WHAT WE CAN OFFER YOU:
- Estimated Salary: (Levels have variable responsibilities and qualifications):
- Assoc Product Owner: $85,000 - $105,000 plus annual bonus opportunity.
- Product Owner: $97,000 - $115,000 plus annual bonus opportunity.

WHAT YOU'LL DO:
- Drive Product Solutions: Lead cross-functional teams and Agile Release Train resources to deliver high-value product solutions aligned with strategic visions, ensuring consistent customer value delivery.
- Backlog Prioritization: Manage and refine product backlogs by balancing business value, stakeholder input, and strategic priorities to achieve impactful outcomes.
- Stakeholder Collaboration: Partner with ART leadership, business owners, subject matter experts, and other Product Owners to define and refine features, ensuring clear acceptance criteria and seamless communication across teams.
- Agile Leadership: Act as a Product Owner for Agile Release Train cars, participating in planning, demos, retrospectives, and ceremonies to enhance product quality and team velocity.
- Outcome Monitoring: Oversee business outcomes by tracking progress, adjusting priorities, and resolving delivery challenges while ensuring seamless transitions to operations, including training and communication.
- Risk Mitigation: Identify and address risks in partnership with system delivery teams, escalating and resolving issues to keep projects on track while aligning with business goals.
WHAT YOU’LL BRING:
- Professional Experience: Minimum of 5 years in a business role or as a Product Owner/Product Manager, demonstrating expertise in leading product development, prioritizing workflows, and delivering successful outcomes in alignment with business strategies OR 5 years' experience operating as an expert contributor on a development team with exceptional knowledge of billing and payment processes.
- Agile Product Ownership Expertise: Ability to serve as a Product Owner for one or more Agile Release Train cars, with a conceptual understanding of the SAFe framework and its roles, processes, and collaboration methods.
- Industry and Technical Knowledge: Familiarity with the insurance industry, operational business processes, and a broad understanding of technology domains, including cloud, mainframe, client-server, SaaS, and Enterprise Architecture.
- Leadership and Communication Skills: Strong leadership, collaboration, and negotiation abilities to build relationships with stakeholders, guide teams, and resolve conflicts effectively.
- Analytical and Organizational Proficiency: Excellent time management, prioritization, and data-driven decision-making skills, coupled with the ability to independently handle complex, multi-year initiatives.
PREFERRED:
- Experience in Compass from both a business analyst and technical perspective, including experience analyzing workflows, refining system requirements, and supporting business process improvements within the platform.
