Position Description

At a Glance

Legrand, Data Power & Control Division has an exciting opportunity for a Logistics Specialist to join the Starline Team in Canonsburg, PA.

What Will You Do?

  • Work closely with Logistics operations leaders to develop system strategies to improve operational metrics.
  • Coordinate and implement comprehensive logistics reporting systems using Power BI or other data tools to enhance operational efficiency and data accuracy.
  • Communicate with international freight forwarders, LTL/truckload carriers, logistics companies, customs brokers, vendors, and internal teams to ensure seamless transportation and delivery.
  • Plan & optimize loading capacity based on Legrand business goals.
  • Assist other departments with requests. i.e. proof of delivery, copies of shipping documents, estimated freight rates, weights & dimensions
  • Represent Shipping and Logistics in various meetings to communicate and ensure timely availability of Finished Goods.
  • Promote and adhere to all company policies, guidelines and practices
  • Other duties as assigned by management.
  • Assist in the training of new employees.

Qualifications

Required Skills

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business or Supply Chain related disciplines prefered
  • 3 years of logistics or warehouse experience required
  • Experience with data visualization and/or data management systems preferred

Skills/Knowledge/Abilities

  • Experience using an ERP system, like Syteline or others
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Advanced Excel (including pivot tables and v-lookups).
  • Experience with Power BI would be a plus
  • Ability to coordinate a team and implement departmental initiatives
  • Skilled at multi-tasking, prioritizing and great organizational skills
  • A proactive and customer-focused mindset with a sense of urgency to meet deadlines and resolve issues.
  • Knowledge of international shipping & customs regulations is a plus

Working Conditions / Physical Requirements

  • The performance of this position requires exposure to the manufacturing areas where, in certain areas, the use of personal protective equipment such as safety glasses and mandatory hearing protection are required.
  • Ability to stand for prolonged periods of time
  • Able to lift and carry up to 25lbs
