Begin has a new opportunity for a People & Culture Coordinator to join our growing team! This role will report to our New York office in a hybrid capacity.

Reporting to our VP of People & Culture, the People & Culture Coordinator will be coordinating HR processes, keeping operations smooth, and leading efforts that make our team feel valued, connected, and inspired. This role blends core HR functions with light office management and a strong focus on building a vibrant, inclusive, and engaging company culture. You’ll be the heartbeat of our workplace.

You will:

HR Coordination

  • Assist with employee onboarding and offboarding processes.
  • Maintain and update employee records in HR systems.
  • Support benefits administration and payroll coordination.
  • Coordinate compliance training and HR policy documentation.
  • Help organize performance review cycles and feedback programs.

Office Management (Light)

  • Ensure the office space is welcoming, organized, and fully stocked.
  • Coordinate with vendors, facilities, and service providers.
  • Support scheduling and logistics for meetings, events, and interviews.
  • Manage incoming/outgoing packages, supplies, and general office tasks.

Culture & Engagement

  • Plan and execute team-building events, employee recognition programs, and DEI initiatives.
  • Act as a culture champion—helping foster a positive, inclusive, and collaborative environment.
  • Conduct surveys, pulse checks, and gather feedback to improve employee experience.
  • Support internal communications, celebrations, and milestone acknowledgments.
  • Collaborate with leadership to build and evolve company values and cultural rituals.

Must-Haves:

  • 1–3 years of HR or office coordination experience (startups or fast-paced environments a plus).
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills—friendly, approachable, and trustworthy.
  • Highly organized with a proactive mindset and a can-do attitude.
  • Comfortable juggling multiple tasks and wearing multiple hats.
  • Passionate about creating a supportive and inclusive workplace.Must-Haves

Nice-to-Haves:

  • Experience with HRIS platforms and tools (Rippling)
  • Event planning or employee engagement experience.
  • A creative eye for creating culture-forward content or experiences.
  • Experience with budget tracking and invoicing management.

Salary MIN: $60k MAX: $70k . This information reflects the anticipated base salary range for this position based on current national data. Minimums and maximums may vary based on location and other relevant factors. We're able to answer any additional questions you may have as you move through the interview process.
