How you will help
The Senior Manager, Software Engineering is responsible for a team that delivers best-in-class technologies that power data-driven insights across the healthcare industry. The manager will lead & build a team of cross functional engineers working together to execute on our product and technical roadmap.
What you will do
- Lead and Grow Your Team: Manage, mentor, and hire a team of 5-8 talented Software Engineers. Your role as a hands-on technical leader will ensure your team consistently delivers high-quality, impactful results.
- Demonstrate Ownership: Take full accountability for your team's success, from technical excellence to delivering value on critical initiatives. You’ll own the outcomes, driving the team to deliver on strategic goals while ensuring a strong alignment with Product Management.
- Be a Technical Champion: Actively participate in architecture and design reviews, contribute to code, and stay engaged in solving technical challenges. Your leadership will guide the team in building scalable, robust solutions.
- Align on Outcomes: Partner closely with Product Management to ensure alignment on priorities and that the team is focused on achieving key results.
- Foster Growth: Conduct regular check-ins with your team, establish and implement training programs, and create a culture that fosters continuous learning and development.
- Build a Team-First Culture: Cultivate a collaborative, inclusive environment where every team member feels valued and empowered to contribute to the team's success.
- Career Development: Take ownership of the career growth of your team members by creating individualized development plans, offering coaching, and guiding them towards greater responsibilities.

Required skills and experience
- 3+ years of experience managing an Engineering team
- 5+ years of experience in Software Engineering
- History of delivering software in an Agile framework
- Experience building and maintaining software within AWS
Base salary for the role is commensurate with experience and can range between $120,000 - $185,000 + annual bonus opportunity.
We prioritize hiring team members from the Philadelphia area whenever possible, as our main office is located in Center City, Philadelphia, where we operate on a hybrid model with in-office work required two days a week. However, for certain roles, we’re also open to hiring from our hub locations, where we have groups of remote workers. Please note that, due to tax and labor regulations, we can only hire from specific states, but remote work is supported in the following key hubs and approved states:

- Compensation: competitive base salary & annual bonus opportunity (for non-commissioned roles)
