The Senior Manager, Information Security is responsible for designing, building, testing, and implementing security systems to meet the compliance, regulatory and protection requirements for the Allina Health enterprise. In this role, while supporting the Chief Information Security Officer (CISO) the Senior Manager, Information Security will have a thorough understanding of complex IT systems and stay up to date with the latest security standards, systems, and authentication protocols, as well as best practice security products.

Primary Responsibilities:
- Develop a complete understanding of a company’s technology and information systems
- Design, build, implement and support enterprise-class security systems
- Identify and communicate current and emerging security threats
- Design security architecture elements to mitigate threats as they emerge
- Plan, research, and design robust security architectures for any IT project
- Create solutions that balance business requirements and information and cybersecurity requirements
- Identify security design gaps in existing and proposed architectures and recommend changes or enhancements
- Collaborate with vulnerability assessments and incident response needs

Required Qualifications:
- CISSP certification
- 5+ years information security experience with focus in cybersecurity / risk management
- 3+ years of experience working with security protocols, encryption, authentication, authorization and security
- 3+ years working with common security tools used for SIEM, EDR, IPS, SSO or related technologies
- 3+ years of experience working with multi-factor authentication, single sign-on, identity management or related technologies
- Experience supporting healthcare organizations
- Experience managing a team of 5+ resources
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience/knowledge in ITIL, CISM and/or ISO 27001
- Experience with HIPAA, HITRUST, NIST CSF, PCI
- Experience with incident response, vulnerability management, compliance
- Experience implementing security solutions
- Experience with security technologies such as firewalls, email inspection and sandboxing, intrusion detection and preventions systems, endpoint detection and response
- Deep understanding of the current threat landscape and associated risks
- In-depth knowledge of threat intelligence lifecycle
- Proven ability to research and analysis
- Proven project management and project delivery skills
- Proven high attention to detail
- Proven problem-solving skills
- Proven critical thinking skills

Residents Only: The salary range for this role is $104,700 to $190,400 annually. Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. UnitedHealth Group complies with all minimum wage laws as applicable.
