Job Description
Your Career
As a Director Leadership Development Programs, you will own the strategy and execution of leadership development programs for Directors, Sr. Directors, and emerging VPs. Your work will focus on equipping senior leaders with the strategic, people, and business leadership skills needed to drive results, foster innovation, and lead high-performing teams.
You will partner with executives, HRBPs, and People Science to develop a succession-ready leadership bench, ensuring our leaders have the tools to navigate complexity, scale teams, and shape the future of Palo Alto Networks. We are committed to building programs that develop empathetic leaders who can build an environment where every employee feels valued, respected, and supported.
Your Impact
Develop a Leadership Pipeline: Design and execute leadership development programs for Directors, Sr. Directors, and emerging VP leaders, ensuring alignment with our business strategy.
Shape Executive Readiness: Deliver leadership curricula that strengthen critical capabilities such as leading through change, strategic decision-making, innovation, and executive influence.
Drive Succession Planning: Partner with People Business Partners and leaders to identify high-potential talent and integrate leadership development into succession planning initiatives.
Lead High-Impact Learning Experiences: Facilitate leadership academies, executive coaching sessions, and cross-functional leadership initiatives.
Leverage Data & Insights: Collaborate with People Science to define success metrics for leadership development, using insights to refine program effectiveness.
Stay Ahead of Leadership Trends: Incorporate best-in-class research and leadership models to ensure Palo Alto Networks remains a leader in talent development.
Qualifications
Your Experience
8+ years in leadership development, talent management, or executive coaching with experience in a global, fast-paced environment.
Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s in Organizational Development, HR, Business, or related field preferred.
Proven expertise in designing senior leadership development programs, coaching senior leaders, and driving enterprise-wide leadership strategies.
Strong consulting skills with the ability to influence executive stakeholders and HR leaders.
Experience using data-driven approaches to measure leadership program effectiveness and succession pipeline readiness.
Familiarity with leadership assessment tools, executive coaching frameworks, and leadership development best practices. Assessment certifications (e.g. Hogan or Korn Ferry) preferred, but not required.
A true passion for developing people across a variety of various traits, perspectives and experiences.
High emotional intelligence, empathy, and integrity in handling sensitive leadership issues.

Compensation Disclosure
The compensation offered for this position will depend on qualifications, experience, and work location. For candidates who receive an offer at the posted level, the starting base salary (for non-sales roles) or base salary + commission target (for sales/commissioned roles) is expected to be between $247,000 - $287,500/YR. The offered compensation may also include restricted stock units and a bonus. A description of our employee benefits may be found here.
