Make your impact within a rapidly growing Fintech Company

Reporting into the Director of Brand and Social Marketing, we are looking for a Senior Brand Strategist to help build the vision, story, systems and value for the BILL brand, inspire creativity and infuse our brand into every touchpoint of our organization. The ideal candidate is as fluent in systems and frameworks as they are in ideas. They thrive in a fast paced environment, enjoy solving ambiguous challenges, and have a passion for simplifying complex problems. This pivotal and brand new role will be instrumental in shaping and driving the future of BILL’s brand. You will be responsible for leading the development and execution of brand architecture, overseeing long-term naming conventions, and managing complex cross-functional projects. Additionally, you will work closely with our corporate communications team to ensure that BILL is positioned as a thought leader in the FinTech space.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Brand Architecture: Develop and refine BILL’s brand architecture to ensure a cohesive and compelling brand identity that resonates with our target audiences and supports our business goals.
  • Brand Foundations: Contribute to the foundational elements of our brand, including messaging, positioning, and visual identity, to ensure a unified and impactful brand experience. Build, orchestrate and bring to life the vision, story, and value of the BILL brand across all our prospects and customers.
  • Naming Conventions: Oversee the creation and implementation of long-term naming conventions that align with our brand strategy, enhance our market presence and differentiate us against our competition.
  • Cross-Functional Projects: Lead and manage complex projects that span multiple departments, ensuring brand consistency and alignment with strategic objectives.
  • Thought Leadership and Innovation Integration: Collaborate with corporate communications to integrate thought leadership content into our overall brand strategy, enhancing our position as a leader in the financial technology space.
  • Strategy Development: Drive the development of strategic brand initiatives and provide actionable insights based on market trends, competitive analysis, and consumer behavior.
  • Measurement: Define and establish the ability to measure success of our brand strategy

We’d love to chat if you have:

  • Experience: Minimum of 12+ years of experience in brand strategy, with a strong track record in brand architecture, naming conventions, and managing cross-functional projects.
  • Expertise: Deep experience crafting best in class brand strategy, brand positioning, and messaging architectures with the ability to implement them into systems and processes that can drive strategic outcomes.
  • Creative Partnership: A track record of partnering with creative teams and/or creative agencies to develop truly remarkable creative ideas.
  • Skills: Exceptional strategic thinking, project management, and communication skills. Ability to work collaboratively across teams and influence stakeholders at all levels.
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, Communications, or a related field. Advanced degrees or relevant certifications are a plus.

The estimated salary range for this role is noted below for our San Jose based role. Our ranges for each role and job level are based on a variety of factors including candidate experience, expertise, and geographic location and may vary from the amounts listed above. The role is also eligible for a competitive benefits package that includes: medical, dental, vision, life and disability insurance, 401(k) retirement plan, flexible spending & health savings account, paid holidays, paid time off, and other company benefits.
