About the Role:
We are seeking a motivated Inside Sales Representative to join our dynamic sales team, focusing on the public sector. This role involves outbound prospecting to identify and cultivate opportunities within government and public service organizations for our cutting-edge technology solutions. The ideal candidate will have a passion for technology and a drive to make a meaningful impact through their sales efforts.
What You Will Do:
- Execute outbound prospecting strategies to identify potential clients within the public sector, including government agencies, educational institutions, and healthcare organizations.
- Utilize calling, emailing, and LinkedIn for direct engagement with prospects to qualify leads
- Conduct initial discovery sessions to understand the needs and challenges of prospects, presenting our technology solutions as viable options.
- Work collaboratively with the sales team to ensure smooth transition of qualified leads for further development.
- Participate in ongoing sales training and professional development to enhance sales skills and knowledge of our technology products and services.
- Achieve and exceed monthly quotas of qualified opportunities.
What You Will Bring:
- 1+ years with a proven track record in an inside sales or similar role focused on outbound prospecting
- Strong understanding of sales processes and ability to adapt to different sales strategies.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to engage and persuade decision-makers.
- Familiarity with CRM tools (e.g., Salesforce)
- Ability to conduct research to find new leads
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple prospects and maintain detailed records of sales activities.
- Goal-oriented, with a high level of initiative and self-motivation.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field preferred but not required.
- Willingness to learn and adapt to new challenges in a fast-paced environment.

At Confluent, we are committed to providing competitive pay and benefits that are in line with industry standards. We analyze and carefully consider several factors when determining compensation, including work history, education, professional experience, and location. This position has an hourly estimated pay of $27 - $31 / hour and is also eligible for additional commission and/or bonus pay.
