Director, Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A)

Reporting directly to the VP of Finance, we are seeking an experienced Director of FP&A to lead our FP&A team.
This individual will play a critical role in our financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting processes. In doing so, you will closely collaborate with senior leaders across the company including Operations, HR, Sales & Marketing, Product Development, and Engineering. You must be intellectually curious, detail-oriented, and able to identify solutions to complex problems (frequently with limited or incomplete data), then roll-up your sleeves to drive implementation and track your team’s impact.
What you'll do:
- Financial Analysis and Reporting
- Oversee the development of annual budgets and monthly forecasts, ensuring alignment with company goals and objectives.
- Lead strategic planning and long-range financial forecasting.
- Provide ongoing updates and analysis of actual performance vs. budget/forecast, identifying trends and variances and making recommendations for corrective actions.
- Develop and present monthly, quarterly reports for executive leadership and board presentations, providing insights into financial performance, risks, and opportunities.
- Maintain, and enhance Cost to Serve metrics and dashboards to monitor operational performance, track progress, and provide actionable insights.
- Strategic Business Support
- Partner with department heads and business leaders to understand business drivers, develop forecasts, and offer financial guidance on strategic initiatives.
- Lead ad-hoc financial analyses and provide recommendations for cost optimization, revenue growth, and operational efficiency.
- Team Development and Process improvement
- Mentor and manage a high-performing FP&A team, promoting a collaborative, high-accountability culture.
- Foster a culture of continuous improvement, drive improvements in financial systems and processes, enhancing reporting capabilities and data accuracy.
Requirements:
- Based in Lehi, UT area or San Francisco Bay area
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business, or related field required
- Experience: 8+ years of progressive finance experience, with at least 3 years in a managerial FP&A role
- Demonstrate ability to analyze complex data, and summarize the relevant conclusions plus recommendations in a clear and concise manner
- Show confidence and tact that can successfully influence executive and senior leadership teams
- Must have strong leadership and team-building skills; and ability to collaborate cross-functionally in an effective manner
- Experience with Adaptive Insights / Adaptive Planning and Netsuite or other equivalent finance information systems. We utilize the web-hosted version of Adaptive and OfficeConnect
- Expert MS Excel / Google Sheets skills - candidate should be comfortable with financial modeling and working with large amounts of data
- Working knowledge of GAAP (Accruals, COGS, and Capitalization versus Expense)
Pay Transparency Statement
This is a hybrid position based out of our San Francisco or Lehi office, with the expectation of being in office at least two weekdays per week. #LI-hybrid
The actual pay rate offered within the range will depend on factors including geographic location, qualifications, experience, and internal equity.
