About us

Capitalize is solving critical problems in the retirement savings market with delightful products, scalable technology, and a talented team. Our robust product offering helps Consumers and Enterprises eliminate frictions and unnecessary fees in the retirement savings system.

Our Consumer product helps people take control of their retirement planning by digitally locating their old 401(k) accounts and consolidating them in a new account at their chosen financial institution. Capitalize handles the paperwork, phone calls, and faxes that have burdened individuals for decades.

For enterprises, we offer a full suite of enterprise-grade APIs, including an Embedded Rollover API, which allows financial institutions to seamlessly power rollovers in their native experiences. We empower enterprises with delightful user experiences that make it easier for their end users to fund their accounts.

We’ve raised ~$35mm from leading venture capital investors including Canapi Ventures, Greycroft, RRE, Bling Capital, Industry Ventures, and Walkabout Ventures. We’re growing quickly, and are looking to add more talented, mission-driven people to our team - come join us!

About the role

As Capitalize’s partner base expands quickly, we’re building out our Partner Management team in NYC to help bring us to the next level of growth. In this role, you'll play a key part in the success of our new and existing enterprise and distribution partnerships, owning everything from implementation to management and ultimately relationship growth. This is an opportunity to work with Capitalize’s strategic B2B partners (like Robinhood, SoFi, Ellevest, and others) and have a big impact on a company with massive goals and ambition. The ideal candidate is highly motivated, enthusiastic, relationship-oriented, and mission-driven.

As an early employee of Capitalize and the second member of our Partnerships team, you will have a large and direct impact on our success, and will have the opportunity to grow your career and responsibilities significantly over time.

What you’ll do:

  • Build Partnerships: Act as the point-person on key partnerships, onboarding and implementing new partners, troubleshooting any issues, looking for growth opportunities, and leading business reviews.
  • Influence Strategy: Collaborate cross-functionally with our Business Development, Customer Service, Strategy and Ops, and Product teams to ensure that we’re providing a high-quality experience to our partners and creatively find ways to improve conversion for our partners’ customers and members.
  • Drive Revenue: Work with signed partners to drive utilization and identify opportunities for additional revenue streams. This will require working on activation initiatives, partnership enablement and proving ROI through reporting and partner insights.
  • Industry Expert: Learn the ins and outs of what impacts our partners’ business models, build trusted relationships by becoming a subject matter expert on their business, and stay on top of related legislation and industry news.
  • Define Success: Establish growth and success plans that align Capitalize’s goals with our partners’ and allow both parties to measure progress against defined benchmarks.
  • Insights: Convey insights and feedback from partner conversations to our leadership and product teams to ensure alignment with business goals and partner needs.

What you'll bring:

  • 5+ years of experience in partnerships, customer success, or account management at a high growth company
  • A successful track record of managing relationships with customers, partners, or external stakeholders
  • Creative problem-solving and the ability to work quickly to troubleshoot any blockers or issues that may arise with partners
  • Ability to thrive in a rapidly changing environment, and successfully manage multiple projects with a sense of urgency
  • Experience with Business Intelligence platforms such as Looker, Tableau, or Power BI
  • Experience in tech and/or fintech, a strong plus
  • Your own unique talents - even if you don’t meet 100% of the qualifications, we strongly encourage you to apply!

Who You'll Work With:

Perks:

  • Competitive salary and equity
  • Medical, dental, and vision insurance, with 100% premium covered for employees and 50% for dependents
  • 401(k) plan access
  • Unlimited paid time off
  • 12 weeks of fully-paid parental leave
  • Access to a dog-friendly office space in NYC

Note: This role is hybrid based in NYC, with a requirement of at least 3 days in-office.

We’re a mission-driven company focused on doing what’s right - for our customers and for our team. That means assembling a group of diverse, hardworking people who want to be their best in a setting that’s open and inclusive for all. We’re committed to diversity in both measurable terms (e.g. gender, race) and across other dimensions like skill sets and experiences. We believe that a diverse, equitable and inclusive company enriches our professional and personal lives. If that speaks to you, we want to meet you. Come help us build!
