Rig Mechanic Surveyor / Rig Electrical Surveyor/Rig Auditor
1.2. Office / Department
Inspection & Verification Services (IVS)
1.3. Reporting to
IVS Operations Manager
1.4. Key Working Relationship
IVS Operations Manager, IVS Technical/Deputy Manager, MEP Operations Manager, SR./Lifting Surveyors, MEP/FIRE Safety Surveyors.
2. Minimum Required Qualifications
2.1. Education
Degree /Dıploma In Mechanıcal / Electrıcal Engıneerıng
2.2. Training/Speciality
Diploma in Associate Engineering, Diploma in Mechanical / Electrical Draftsman, Offshore Survival, ADMA Offshore Safety, ISO 9000, Fork Lift Testing, Loose Gear Inspection, Zone II Inspection, ASNT, Fire Fighting
2.3. Technical knowledge
Personal Safety, Hazardous Area Inspection, Fire Fighting, Electrical Equipment inspection
2.4. Minimum experience required for Electrical Surveyor:
a) Fifteen (15) years in Oil & Gas industry
b) Seven (7) years in Electrical, instrument & System Surveyor discipline (specialist)
c) Three (3) inspections conducted in Electrical, instrument & System Surveyor discipline within last three (3) years
3. Responsibilities / Authorities
3.1. Primary Functions
- Conduct Inspections.

3.6. HSE Requirements
Communicate to their immediate manager any unsafe work practice or condition and opportunities for improvement of HSE practices.
Comply with Client’s Site specific HSE regulations.
Comply at all times with all applicable legal requirements, BV Group HSE Policies and procedures, client’s HSE procedures and practices.
Maintain personal work areas tidy and hazard free and report any deviation/fault/hazard immediately to the location manager/line manager/supervisor
Report immediately any newly identified hazard and participate in devising suitable operational control to eliminate/minimize the pertinent risk.
Report immediately any HSE incident and cooperate in investigation
Use appropriate PPE at work area and be aware of:
o the risks appropriate PPE will control or minimize
o Report immediately incase the PPE is worn off or lost.
o maintenance and inspection arrangements
o PPE replacement procedures
