As part of the team you will be an integral part in transforming BeamSuntory and the JBBDCo Brand House by elevating our event strategy at our homeplace in Clermont, KY as well as supporting the enhancement of our social and digital media engagement, further evolving our marketing approach into one of building the JBBDCo brand across multiple platforms.

Role Responsibilities

Brand Foundations & Stewardship:

  • Serves as a steward for JBBDCO brand guardrails in the homeplace, online, and with local market teams ensuring consistency and elevating our visual presentation across key touchpoints

  • Supports our relationship with The James B. Beam Institute for Kentucky Spirits and other key local organizations in partnership with Government Relationships

  • Builds relationships and successfully executes projects with cross-functional partners, including Innovation, Insights, Finance, PR, and our partners across the Global Brand House. Serves as a key point of connectivity for NAM and Kentucky Sales Team to Homeplace and GBH team

Strategy & Planning:

  • Assists in the JBBDCo house strategic plan development including, growth and experience plans (3Y and 12Y) with a focus on homeplace and digital/social touchpoints

  • Supports JBBDCo sustainability strategy and helps implement immediate priorities on campus and online

Experience Design & Delivery:

  • Builds the annual homeplace consumer experience and product launch plans for JBBDCo, in partnership with homeplace team. This includes defining our event strategy, leading creative briefing/ reviews, agency management, and a cross-functional team in developing those final plans.

  • Lead elements of the launch plans for new initiatives inclusive of digital, social, website, PR, experiential, and other touchpoints.

  • Partners with Digital CoE and Senior Manager to support the JBBDCo digital ecosystem – inclusive of the website (BeamDistilling.com) content, whiskey finder, account creation, CRM, and amplification (media) plan for physical homeplace and digital ecosystem

  • Liaises with Master Distillers, plant leadership, and GBH leadership to support scheduling & planning of on-site events, PR/media request, and internal meetings

(Gemba) Insight:

  • Develops a strong understanding of best practices and industry benchmarks across the bourbon trail and applies learnings effectively to JBBDCo activities

  • Contributes to quarterly brand updates and business reviews with GBH and Kitchen Table leadership

  • Efficiently manages assigned budgets and partners with internal Finance and BI analyst to drive reporting and effectiveness

  • Partner with campus stakeholders to manage Fred/Freddie’s engagement with Campus activity

Qualifications & Experience

  • 3-5 years’ consumer marketing experience.
  • Experience in managing the creative brand building process and fostering productive relationships with agencies, creative teams and cross functional partners.
  • Proven record in partnering with cross-functional stakeholders including commercial, PR, marketing, and finance to align marketing strategy to commercial goals
  • Demonstrated experience in planning and executing small & large scale consumer facing events in partnership with internal stakeholders and external agencies
  • A track record in bringing new thinking and ideas to a business/brand to accelerate growth.
  • Bachelor's degree in marketing, business or related field required and MBA preferred
  • Experience building and growing premium brands, preferably in alcohol beverage category,
  • Experience with agency management
  • Demonstrate a digital first approach to brand building
  • Experience in digital content development, website strategy, eCommerce, Direct-To-Consumer, CRM preferred
  • Strategic thinker
  • Strong quantitative and qualitative analytical skills
  • Ability to draw conclusions from data and extract meaningful insights to tell a story
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Experience working with supply chain to understand short- and long-term tradeoffs
  • Team player with collaborative style with a listen first approach
  • Culturally sensitive, proven ability to build credibility and excel in a global environment
  • Able to work well in a fast paced, cross-functional environment, and navigate ambiguity
  • Able to manage multiple projects simultaneously and complete projects in a timely manner
