Just near the sales center in Sesvete, Getro chain has opened the logistics distribution center. It looks impressive and leaves the impression of a modern, attractive and highly technologically equipped center. The logistics distribution center of 13.000 square meters floor space contains a high wall system warehouse with the capacity of 9.300 storage spots, with 14 loading ramps and 14 unloading ramps, and the accompanying spaces for administration and supervision. In one part of the administration building there are modern equipped offices of those employed in the logistics distribution center. In close proximity to the center's building there is a large number of manipulation platforms and parking places. The logistics distribution center has been built as a computerized distribution center of food products and consumer goods. It has been designed as to enable future phase expansion depending on distribution growth. The maximum planned floor space will be 30. 000 square meters. Partially split-levelled, the purpose of the warehouse is distribution of goods: 10.600 storage spots in normal temperature regime 1.000 storage spots in cooling temperature regime.

Its singular advantage is that it takes over all the segments of work, maximally excluding the human factor and additional paperwork, thus diminishing the possibility of error. Time optimization, low error possibility and the awareness of the state of goods, that being in the warehouse or in either of the centers, is the greatest advantage of the logistics distribution center in Sesvete. Additional improvement which has been implemented into The Logistic distribution center, compared to the existing WMS system used (Warehouse Management System, or system for managing the logistics of the warehouse), is relational to the system of tactical management. The system alone dynamically anticipates only the first coming operation, and then in the optimal way considers the entire range of future operations. After each change, that being the next operation in line, it repeats the action again looking for the most optimal and most effective way of performing a particular operation.The same way it treats goods that it is storing, this system treats the packaging, additionally unburdening the work process with its identical surveillance. The entire logistics distribution center employs 56 employees with accompanying employees in the logistics. Goods are under surveillance the entire time, since entering the warehouse until leaving it, and the control of goods and easy management are ensured by the usage of hand terminal and barcodes, and by the existence of basic connections or the possibility to enter orders through such a network. Total value of the investment reaches 71.400.000 kn, and our own funds make a considerable part of it.

The warehouse contains various kinds of goods storage which need special conditions. There are chambers for the storage of conditioned goods up to 18 degrees centigrade, then up to 8 degrees and 20 degrees centigrade. The operation of all the chambers is under computer watch all 24 hours. The maintenance and handling part of the building is single-levelled, and the cooling chambers' part is split-levelled. For best isolation, the armature is panelled with thermally insulated tin panels, and outside holes are closed with high-quality a-m profiles glazed with isolating glass. The most recent version of WMS system, with the latest accomplishments on that field, have been implemented into the entire Logistics distribution center, making it the first such center in Croatia. Planned building is hooked up to the existing communal installations, and new installations are being planned, and the connections for future phase expansion are being coordinated. The approach to the building is in Kelekova street which passes just off the lot, right behind the Getro sales center in Sesvete. Entering the building is possible from different sides. Handling of trailer trucks, other delivery vehicles and means of transportation is made possible in a very simple and practical way which saves time, money and energy. Except for the existing advantages of this system which can at any time tell you what amount of goods you have at your disposal, and place it in the way as to maximally lower the costs and augment the space usability, this system also provides an optimal way to perform all the functions, it is easy to manage and it leads you through all the work operations.
